This book was produced to accompany the exhibition of prints and publications produced by Fondation Maeght and L'Imprimerie Arte over a period of forty years, held at the Centre du Creation Contemporaine,Tours, France from 20 June to 28 September 1986 which then toured to Nordjyllands Kunstmuseum, Aalborg, Denmark from 10 October 1986 to 16 January 1987. Occupying a unique niche in the international art world, the Maeght family collaborated with artists and poets such as Chagall, Miro, Giacometti and Tristan Tzara.
