Undated, but c.1970. Card covered stapled book. Condition: Good, with general light shelfwear and light soiling to covers. Some browning and light foxing to reverse of covers. Binding sound, no inscriptions. 60pp. Many b/w photographic illustrations, taken by Olive Cook's husband, Edwin Smith. This publication was commissioned by the Nuthampstead Preservation Society to help prevent the siting of a third London airport in the area. Olive Cook (1912-2002) describes the village as being "almost untouched by 20th century development" and this is still the case today. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
