NB: Text is in German throughout. Brown paper-covered boards with title in black on front cover. Condition: Fair to good, covers are generally shelfworn with the top inch of the spine beginning to separate from the binding. Binding sound. Previous owners name and the date 1921 neatly written at top of title page. The staples from the binding have rusted and show through the endpapers and last couple of photographic plates. This book is a collection of sepia photogravure images from the Somme area (including Montauban, Bapaume and Ancre) depicting daily life and landscapes during October 1915 to November 1916. Size: 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall
