London R.Triphook 1822 Full-Leather Fair No Jacket
A new edition, revised and corrected by S.W.Singer. Leather binding with titles in gilt within red label on spine. Marbled endpapers and textblock edges. Condition: Fair to good, covers rubbed and scuffed, with the edge of the front cover lower corner missing. The spine has been rebacked (not recently) . Binding sound. Watermark to frontispiece image of Sir Thomas More, corresponding browning from frontispiece to title-page opposite. Top right hand corner of title page has been removed, all text of title still present. Occasional foxing throughout. In addition, the front hinge is cracked but holding firmly. It also appears that the blank page after the front endpaper has been removed (at the time the spine was rebacked (?)), but this is not clear. 190pp. plus index.
