Dark blue-green cloth with title in white on spine. Condition: Very good, binding sound, no inscriptions. Slight crease to first 8 pages (caused during printing?). Dustjacket condition: Very good, with very light shelfwear. 629pp. Many b/w illustrations. This was the first comprehensive account of the life and work of Berthold Lubetkin (1901-1990), pioneer architect of the Modern Movement in Britain, survivor of the Russia Revolution, and at the age of 81, RIBA Royal Gold Medallist. This study is the outcome of the authors 20 year friendship with Lubetkin, and contains many previously unpublished drawings, photographs and extracts from Lubetkin's writings.
