In this monograph on the French-born American artist Arman (1928-2005), the author surveys the total oeuvre. Arman stopped painting in 1955 and created a new genre of art he called "cachets" - sheets of paper covered with the repeated imprints of one or more rubber stamps which then led to other original genres using real objects.
