Red buckram with title in gilt on spine. Condition: Good, with light browning and light foxing to endpapers. Binding sound, no inscriptions. Dustjacket condition: Fair, gneerally shelfworn and lighly browned and soiled with a watersplash mark to base of jacket around the spine, not affecting the bopok in any way. Not price-clipped. 228pp. 55 b/w plates and 33 b/w plans. The author writes about the formation of collegiate churches in England, their constitution, way of life and the duties of the canons. The minsters of Wimborne, Southwell and Beverly are included as well as Westminster Abbey and St.George's Chapel, Windsor, together with village churches such as Ottery St.Mary in Devon and Bosham in Hampshire.
